Enrolments
If you wish to enrol your child, you can visit the preschool or contact the preschool by telephone or email, to provide your child’s details to an Educator. The educator will then allocate day(s) to meet your requirements and add your child’s name to the Waiting List. Families will receive a package that includes: Enrolment Forms, an Information Book and a covering letter that outlines orientation and the enrolment.
We invite every family to attend at least one orientation visit to the Preschool to see the centre’s educational environment and to meet the educators. The best time to visit is at 9.30am while children are in the outdoor learning environment in Term 4, as this environment will be similar to the learning environment when children commence Preschool in Term 1. Children begin activities outdoors during the summer months as part of our Sun Safe Policy. Please remember children are required to wear a hat at all times during outdoor activities. Enrolment packages will be posted to families in September/October and families have the opportunity to discuss their child’s and family’s needs during this orientation visit in October. Your child’s enrolment is confirmed after the Preschool receives completed Enrolment Forms, copies of immunisation and Birth Certificates, and a copy of a Healthcare Card with an Application Form if applying for a fee reduction.
All children from three to five years of age are able to access two free days of preschool each week in 2022. The ‘Start Strong Free Preschool Initiative’ is funded by the State Government to allow all children to access high quality education prior to commencing Kindergarten. Research shows that at least two days of preschool results in better outcomes for children at school.
